The Kitzsteinhorn is a glacial mountain, part of the Glockner Group and reaches a height of 3,203 m. One can ski on the Kitzsteinhorn glacier even in summer and it is accessible via a modern mountain railway or the 3K K-onnection gondola. The latter is a 12 km scenic ride and not only has the longest continuous gondola axis, but also rises the greatest elevation, 2261 vertical meters, in the Eastern Alps. Top of Salzburg

Directly at the Kitzsteinhorn summit station, the Top of Salzburg viewing platform awaits you during the whole year. From here, there is a unique view of the surrounding mountains and via the special telescopes you can see all the way from the Watzmann mountains to the Steinerne Meer mountains, and the Hohe Tauern National Park. The Kitzsteinhorn viewing platform & National Park Gallery

A tunnel leads from the Kitzsteinhorn summit station (360m) onto the Infinity-Viewing platform. Once you have arrived on the platform, the only thing that separates you and the abyss is the platform, and it is not for the faint hearted! Visitors can see the Großglockner mountain, which stands at 3,798 meters, making it the highest mountain in Austria. The National Park Gallery consists of six information points and you will learn all about the natural treasures of the Hohe Tauern National Park and the mechanics of the gondola.

Ice Arena Kitzsteinhorn

The Ice Arena at the Kitzsteinhorn is even open in the summer months in July/August, and it is free of charge. Both children and adults alike can rent sliding sheets/toboggans or perhaps you would prefer to make yourself comfortable soaking up the sun on the sun chairs while the children do their rounds on the magic carpet? One can also increase their daily step count by doing a short hike along the secured glacier trail. The Arena Snack bar takes care of any appetite you work up exploring the Kitzsteinhorn in summer.
